Innovating for Queensland’s sustainable future.

Low Carbon Accelerator

Working with our most dynamic entrepreneurs to deliver low carbon solutions.

The Low Carbon Accelerator is an initiative by the Queensland Government and a commitment to work with our most dynamic entrepreneurs to address key decarbonisation challenges for the Queensland economy.

Showcasing Low Carbon Accelerator 2022-23 success

Over a six-month period the program successfully worked with 22 companies delivering decarbonisation and low carbon solutions for Queensland.

The showcase event (see video) highlighted four groundbreaking projects - ARTEH's strategic emissions reduction platform, CTECK's energy-efficient AC system, Linked Group Services' solar-powered EV charging station, and givvable's AI-enabled sustainable procurement solution.

In front of Queensland’s key industry leaders and innovators, these organisations inspired connections and furthered our collective pursuit of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

We are grateful for the invaluable support of the Queensland Government, the Department of Environment and Science and the Office of the Queensland Chief Entrepreneur, our partners and community. We invite you to stay engaged and updated by visiting lowcarbonqld.com and the Queensland Climate Action Plan.

Let's continue to foster innovation for a sustainable future!

Queensland is taking strong action on climate change, with many initiatives taking place across tourism, built environment, energy, resources, manufacturing, transport and our agriculture and food systems.

Innovation is vital to meet our targets and to help our industries become more resilient and capitalise on future opportunities.

Net Zero by 2050

The Queensland Government is committed to playing its part in the global effort to address climate change and has set a target of zero net emissions by 2050, with an interim target of at least 30% below 2005 levels by 2030 and a 50% renewable energy target by 2030.

Taking low-carbon products and technologies to the next level to help Queensland meet its emissions reduction targets.
