The Low Carbon Accelerator is an initiative by the Queensland Government and a commitment to work with our most dynamic entrepreneurs to address key decarbonisation challenges for the Queensland economy.

Queensland is taking strong action on climate change, with many initiatives taking place across tourism, built environment, energy, resources, manufacturing, transport and our agriculture and food systems.

The Queensland Government is committed to playing its part in the global effort to address climate change and has set a target of zero net emissions by 2050, with an interim target of at least 30% below 2005 levels by 2030 and a 50% renewable energy target by 2030.

The program
If you are an ambitious and innovative founder or product owner seeking to work with Queensland industries to achieve net zero, the Low Carbon Accelerator will surround you with the expertise, and networks to help you succeed.
Selected companies will have a chance to receive grant funding and guidance for successful deployment of Proof-of-Concept projects with an industry partner.
Applications are closed for the 2022/23 program. The first cohort will take place in the period of October 2022 to March 2023.
Bootcamp
Stage one comprises a two-day Bootcamp to pitch your product and assess your market-readiness.
Growth Lab
Stage two is a six-week Growth Lab program to develop a business case for early market implementation.
Proof-of-Concept
Stage three is a six-week funded Proof-of-Concept program to execute on a pilot opportunity with an industry customer.

The Low Carbon Accelerator brings together the brightest and most daring minds from across Queensland to address key de-carbonisation challenges for the Queensland economy. This program brings together innovators, industry and government to collaboratively push frontiers. Program benefits for participants include:
The program will commence with a two-day in person bootcamp in Brisbane. Businesses based in regional Queensland will be eligible for a travel stipend to attend.
